The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-eligible position in poultry science. The successful candidate will develop an extramurally funded research program addressing high-impact areas such as digestive health, immunology, disease resistance, or genetic interactions in poultry production. Expertise in “omics” technologies and interdisciplinary collaboration is highly valued.

Responsibilities include engaging with industry, regulatory, and government stakeholders to strengthen poultry production in the Commonwealth and identify critical issues facing the poultry industry. Responsibilities also include working closely with extension educators and partners in allied animal industries toward a common goal of fulfilling the college and department missions as well as mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and contributing to teaching initiatives.

Candidates will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including on-campus laboratories and animal research facilities, as well as the C. Our new colleague will have the opportunity to capitalize on the investments we have and are making to construct new state of the science facilities that will allow you to conduct research on layers, broiler breeders, and broiler chickens at our newly constructed farm at the C. Oran Little Research Center and in our on campus vivarium, currently under construction, as part of the Agricultural Research Building (https://future.ca.uky.edu/projects/ag-research-building).
