Location: Lexington, KY
| The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture Food and Environment, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources seeks a candidate with strong communication skills and attention to detail for their Forestry Research Assistant role. The Forestry Research Assistant will work closely with Green Forests Work staff and other project partners to manage current planting projects, secure additional partners to expand reforestation opportunities on mine lands, and work with private landowners, coal operators, state and federal agencies, conservation/environmental groups, and other partners on the planning, design, and implementation of projects. Duty location will be Lexington, Kentucky, with work occurring throughout Appalachia, but mainly concentrated in southern West Virginia, eastern Kentucky, and eastern Tennessee.
